Help Us Keep Their Dreams Moving Safely Forward
At Home of Hope, our children rely on our bus every single day — for school, excursions, and community service. But our faithful mini bus, in service since 2017, has finally reached the end of the road.
With 20 children now and another joining in December, we’ve simply outgrown it. As you can see from the photos, not everyone fits anymore, and the old bus often needs a push just to get started!
To make ends meet, we’ve had to hire taxis and even use a motorbike for extra transportation — far from the safe and reliable travel we want for our children, especially on rough, sometimes dangerous roads.
Why Two Vans Matter
We urgently need to replace our aging mini bus with two dependable vans that will keep every child safe and ensure that no one is ever left behind. The daily hour-long round trip to St. Jean’s School isn’t just transportation — it’s a lifeline to education, opportunity, and hope for a brighter future.
These vans will also help us meet the daily needs of our children — from purchasing food and supplies to making sure every appointment, errand, and emergency can be handled quickly and safely.
Just as importantly, they allow the children to serve others — visiting and bringing food to refugee camps, widows, prisoners, and nearby albino and leper communities. It’s deeply moving to see these young ones — once in need of care themselves — now giving back with compassion and joy.
How You Can Help
We’ve begun fundraising for gently used, reliable vans, but we are still far from our goal of $80,000.
Your contribution — large or small — will help us give these children safe passage to education, service, and a brighter future!
