The Most Essential Human Need
The first project undertaken by My Vision for Refugees was the drilling and construction of a fresh-water well for former refugees living in camps that have since developed into villages near N’zérékoré. Before this well, their only water source for drinking, bathing, cooking, and laundry was the nearby river—a situation that led to widespread parasitic diseases and many preventable deaths, particularly among young children.
To date, we have built two wells, and plans are underway to construct additional wells throughout the surrounding villages, ensuring closer and more reliable access to clean, safe drinking water—the most essential of human needs.
