Serving The Community

As a faith-based organization, My Vision for Refugees regularly organizes community outreach in Nzérékoré. These efforts include visiting hospitals, refugee camps, leper communities, widows, and prisons to donate food, clothing, books, medical equipment, and other essential supplies that improve quality of life. Guided by our mission to serve orphans, widows, and the marginalized, we also undertake community development projects, such as repairing roads with the help of our youth volunteers.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the children of Home of Hope contributed to the community’s safety by sewing and freely distributing masks.

In 2012, Sam helped install the village’s first well, bringing desperately needed clean water. In 2020, thanks to a generous donor, a second well was drilled and two industrial tanks were added to provide safe water to the entire community. These projects have earned the appreciation of the people of Nzérékoré and established My Vision for Refugees as a trusted and valued partner in community well-being.
