Education Outside The Classroom
My Vision for Refugees holds a variety of day-long workshops for the youth and children in the local communities, featuring both experts and activities to address such topics as entrepreneurship, job opportunities, the importance of education, health and wellness, and HIV awareness. Each workshop’s goal is to develop the right mindset for — and to show a variety of paths toward – a successful future.
My Vision for Refugees also teaches the children in Home of Hope various trades such as sewing, hair braiding, welding and managing a shop; to enable them acquire vocational skills outside the classroom.
